Letter from a reader

I would just like to say thanks for recommending Tom's ebook. His idea of feeding the muscle with the right foods and burning the fat with the right exercise to suit my body type really helped me drop 2 dress sizes fairly quickly.

I also used your tip of eating a small portion of high quality protein with each snack, yes it did help reduce my appetite as you explained, plus combining quality protein with Tom's principles helped my body hold onto as much lean mass as possible. I'm still burning fat while maintaining good shape even after 6 weeks!

Portion control weight loss

I think losing weight is really a very simple process, if we consume more calories than our body uses we gain weight and if we use up more calories than the body takes in we lose weight.

I believe many of us make weight loss complicated when we try out all the latest diets. Why should a dieter need to change his/her regular foods?

This makes the diet hard to stick to, and we could be losing out on certain nutrients. I think the best way to control weight is through portion control, simply eat the same sort of foods we have been eating for years and are accustomed to, but gradually reduce portion size.
