Is Weight Loss Really Worth The Effort?

Chatting to a client yesterday and she made it clear to me actually how much work is involved in losing sufficient amounts of weight to reach the main goals.

She said if she worked out for half hour every day without fail, how long would it take to lose 10 pounds.

Well, roughly half hour of moderate exercise should burn around 150 calories. She said, is that all!!!

Yes, that's all I'm afraid!
What this means is to burn off just 1 pound of fat (3500 calories), you'll need to do more than 23 similar workouts. Now that sounds like hard work, yes I agree. Especially when this client revealed that she ate a chocolate bar as a treat for doing well at the gym. What, there's around 200 calories in a bar of chocolate. This means that she had just undone all of the day's workout in a few bites!

So what's your choice, miss out on a few luxury treats or spend more time in the gym?

I prefer the former thanks. Im just hoping she can start to realise the true work involved.

However, looking on the bright side, it's not all doom and gloom here.
Remember, losing pure fat from stores rather than just losing "water weight loss" will make you look fantastic in the long run. So, it's worth the effort I think!

Good luck, keep working it!
